dbHMS' Dong-Hwang KO will speak at the Building Energy Analysis seminar. Ko, LEED AP®, is a Ph.D. Candidate of the College of Architecture, Illinois Institute of Technology. He graduated the Bachelor & Master degrees in Architectural Engineering from Korea University, South Korea. He also obtained M.Arch from IIT. Currently, he is working on Ph.D research area in ‘Energy conservation design’ using eQUEST® (DOE) and ‘Daylighting Analysis’ using RADIANCE for LEED certification & sustainable building design. The research focuses on the fenestration design, its properties, and design strategies. He conducted energy simulation of the joint research project in Measurement and Verification (M&V) of Energy Consumption (Comparison of Energy Usage Prediction and Actual Usage), between IIT and CCGT (Chicago Center for Green Technology, LEED Platinum rated building). His professional experience includes the Energy & Daylight Analysis at ESD (Environmental System Design) and dbHMS.
